Any online software available for scheduling of adhoc gaming groups? [closed]

Question

I'm part of a new group of board and card gamers who'd like to meet on a regular basis, probably once or twice a month. We all work for different companies in different locations in the state at different hours.

Right now we're using email to coordinate times, dates, locations, and games we'd like to play but, as you probably realize, email is not optimum for these types of "conversations."

Is there any online software out there (I'm willing to host if it's necessary) that will allow us to do the following activities:

1. Create a group of people, storing individual's address, contact info, and game preferences.
2. Allow individuals in the group to suggest game nights (date, time, location, game(s)).
3. Allow individuals to indicate they can attend suggested game nights.
4. Allow notification of the group when and where a game night will happen.

This is very high-level but I wanted to see if there was anything out there before I thought about rolling my own and broke it down further.

It's not really gaming specific, but I often use http://www.doodle.com/ . It lets you suggest multiple optional dates for a meeting, invite people to it (but no address book) to choose the dates that suit them and finally choose and broadcast a date where all (or at least most) people have agreed on.

I second @RoToRa's suggestion to the use doodle (+1) and would also like to recommend meetup.com. Doodle and Meetup are both good, but they are good at different jobs:

• Attendance - Members can indicate they are attending a gaming event
• Waiting Lists - You can specify a max group size for specific events. Once the event fills up further members are added to a waiting list and automatically promoted if attendees drop out.
• History - Keeps a record of previous gaming events, who attended and you can upload photos of the events.
• Private/Public - Groups can be private or public.

• Voting - People can vote for the day(s) they want to play. You can then see which day yields the most players and pick that one.

For detailed group organisation (may be slightly beyond what you need), you could have a look at Mixxt.

You can create a pretty complete site with features like events, forum/chat, member lists, newsletters etc. It's free, but is ad-supported (there are paid options too if those would be preferable).
