We like these type of games, but really really dislike roleplaying and acting.

So, games like these that don't make you act things out or make believe, and are really about strategy.

Another clarification: Nothing TOO hardcore that will take more than 2 hours minimum to play. Somewhere between 15 minutes and 1.5 hours is good.

It can be 2-10 players.

Hi Matt! Welcome to the site. Unfortunately I've had to close your question. We are dedicated to answering specific questions about games and not about recommending games. BoardGameGeek is a great place to find game recommendations. Good luck! – Pat Ludwig Feb 20 at 21:09
While this question is currently not a good fit for this site, many similar questions have been asked and thoroughly answered. Browse the question list and you might find what you're looking for. But yeah, BGG is a better fit... – The Chaz Feb 20 at 23:11
@TheChaz, SE sites in general are shying away from recommendations (if they even allowed them in the first place); if anything, the trend is toward removing them completely rather than reopening them. I think it's better to recommend that users earn rep and ask in chat; there is no guarantee that questions in a banned category will remain on the site indefinitely, and closed questions can't receive new answers and thus become stale, so questions that may have had useful answers at one point may be out-of-date now. – Dave DuPlantis Feb 21 at 15:31
I hear ya @Dave. It's the same on all 4-5 SE sites that I use. There is a sort of fascist elitism that can be off-putting to persons who would like to be contributing users, but the first questions they have are entry level (and usually qualify for immediate closure). – The Chaz Feb 21 at 18:24
@TheChaz, it's an issue of maintaining site quality. It's not feasible to set a lower bar for newer users; there's no way to explain to existing users why their questions are less worthy (and it can cause confusion as new users gain rep). That's why we do what we can to refer new users to alternate methods for asking off-topic questions, as well as pointing them toward resources like the FAQ. It may come across as harsh, but it's necessary to build the kind of site that we'd like those users to be a part of ... and to get the site to the point where it can graduate. – Dave DuPlantis Feb 21 at 18:53
