Which circumstances make one favour track better than another in Caylus? Your analysis of the victory point track seems reasonable at a glance, but you have to consider stepping up the track to be "engine building" all by itself! Going on the VP track one turn is improving your future turns by making you get one more VP the next time you go on the track. So a guy who has done VP track 5 times hasn't improved their infrastructure, but now when he gets a favor he can convert it to 5 VP while the guy who did the money track to improve for future turns can just get money worth 2 VP. |
