comment How does infect step of epidemic interact with mutation?
"barring... the entire deck to be used inbetween epidemics" - I started doing some calculations around whether this was possible or not, but it got quite involved! There are complications from the mutation event cards which draw from the bottom of the infection deck, as well as the Resilient Population card. I think if you're playing with the virulent strain card "Rate Effect" then it could happen.

comment Number wars / do you play it in your country?
I'm not sure it's actually on topic on any site. I think the closest matches are The Great Outdoors (outdoors.stackexchange.com) and Sports (sports.stackexchange.com). I'm not really sure it fits in either of those though.

comment Number wars / do you play it in your country?
Hi lolka_bolka, I think this may be off-topic because it's about a physical game played by running around outside, rather than around a table. I'm not sure why it was migrated here from rpg.stackexchange. The game sounds like a variant of the game called "Capture the flag", although I've never heard of having to read a number off someone's forehead. E.g. See wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capture_the_flag

comment What are the odds of being dealt particular melds in Double Deck Pinochle?
@Clumsy Thanks - you're exactly right. I re-ran the updated program and we now get triple and quad marriages, which we didn't before (hard to get with only a single deck!) I verified the bulk of the script by calculating probabilities for single deck pinochle, and I've added a section about that.

comment Solution to Avalon board game
In particular I don't think many people would like to be part of a game where they have to manually perform an asymmetric key exchange protocol before they can start playing!

comment Solution to Avalon board game
@JoeW I think the point of this is that the good side don't have perfect knowledge at the start, but after a couple of failed missions they can derive it. Consequently this answer suggests that if all players play in this (pain-staking) way then the good team can force a win. It's definitely against the spirit of the game - MWilliams mentions in a comment on the question "I'm not suggesting anyone actually play this way (it would be dreadfully boring and pointless).".

I think this is an interesting question, and it clearly shows "research effort". I think you could improve the question by splitting out your potential answer into an answer and making a few things clearer in the question. For example I'm fairly sure you're assuming a game with Merlin as the only special character, and I have never played Avalon like this. Also it might be helpful to state some of the rules in the question, or at least a link to them - I can't remember off the top of my head the ratios of good to evil for different numbers of players.
