You do actually look at each creature on its own when evaluating the legality of blockers. The only thing that forces you to block is the requirement to meet the maximum number of requirements.

Nothing has ever made me happier than being able to continue shuffling those four cards when deciding which one I want.

comment Will Return to Duty get someone out of the Brig?
There are similar issues that arise with automatic moves of character's abilities (either moves into vipers or into the sickbay). We have a house rule that just says "you can't cheat your way out of the brig" for such occasions.

comment Which of the 5 resources in Settlers of Catan (base version) is most important? Why?
Having played one time I'd guess Brick, but I am definitely not an expert.

@RobZ I'll see what I can put together (in general, if it's got blue in it it's worth more :P), but the issue is that you're looking more for mana efficiency than specific abilities. Even cards like Mind Funeral are high-value because of their effect-to-mana-cost ratio, despite the fact that mill decks see very little play.

What I'm asking in particular is if there's anything printed since October 1, 2010 (Scars of Mirrodin's release date), which would be included in Standard right now. Some of those commons and uncommons have some considerable value, but if you don't probably have any, there's no need for me to include a list of key Standard cards that aren't reprints.

Quick question - are these collections exclusively older cards, or are there recent sets included as well? I'm planning on putting a quick list of eye-grabbers for you.

Clarified actions taken when doing nothing.

@DForck42 Nope - there's no effect that allows you put the creature into the graveyard, either. The creature does not change zones - you get to find a creature in your library and literally do nothing with it, leaving it in your library when you shuffle it.

@DForck42 no, there's no effect that allows you to put the creature from your library into your hand. You get to search your library for a creature and do nothing with it.
