Innistrad came out on Sep. 30th - everything before that was a prerelease order, and even then the average price was in the $30s.

comment How do I manage double-faced cards in Innistrad (MTG) tournament play?
From personal experience, it's relatively painless. While it does mean you can see when somebody grabs something when drafting, in play the whole "go grab the double-sided version of this placeholder" isn't too bad.

comment What happens to loyalty counters on a double faced Planeswalker?
it definitely is - it's implied by the lack of loyalty counter on the transformed version, but it's nice to see a ruling.

comment Is there a mis-print on the Grabby Guts card?
A succinct way of describing the "1 hand," "-1 hand," etc. verbiage is that the term describes the number of hands used to wield the item.

comment Does Infect count as damage?
The key to this is the phrasing - damage is dealt in the form of poison counters, but damage is still dealt. Normally, damage dealt to a player causes a loss of life - in this case, that behavior is overridden.

comment Finding places to play Magic the Gathering games
@Skeith, the Store and Event Locator show two stores, both around 8 miles away. Beyond that, it seems like finding or teaching other people (or playing online) are your best bet.

comment When land becomes creature can you kill it?
It should be mentioned that man-lands (as they are called) when they are creatures are vulnerable to destroy effects that target either lands or creatures (i.e. both Terror and Strip Mine).
