Where to buy bicycle quality custom playing cards +1 for Artscow. Though I can't vouch for the quality personally, I understand they're pretty good. May be worth a try at least. |

House Rules for divine intervention I'd say that random wins out of the blue are definitely part of the nature of Munchkin. |

If I forfeit Breaking News, will the tags stick? Thanks for the answer. I thought I looked in the FAQ, but it must not have been the latest. As a follow-up, am I right in thinking that the same does not apply to Joshua B? That is, if I use its ability, but trash it somehow during my turn (e.g. with Aesop's Pawnshop), the "when your turn ends" effect still occurs, because the effect is already triggered BEFORE the end of turn? |

What games have plan-moves-in-advance mechanics like Robo Rally? Unfortunately, open-ended questions that request recommendations don't suit our Q&A format well (see the discussion here) so I've voted to close your question. Try our chat-room or boardgamegeek.com for an active community that will definitely be able to help you with a recommendation. (This thread may be of interest to you, perhaps) |

Are weighted games in Goko Dominion adventures winnable by sheer strategy? I had exactly the same thought when I saw the escalating handicaps. Seems like it would quickly go from "challenging" to "clearly imbalanced and unfun". |

Are there multiplayer equivalents to trading places after the first move? Nice answer. Coloretto and its spin-offs would be examples of games that use the principle of everyone adding items to buckets, or taking a bucket and being removed from the process. |

Can you pick up a locomotive if it's revealed as a replacement card? Ah, looks like this is a duplicate of boardgames.stackexchange.com/questions/5824/… |

Am I at legal risk if I use a mechanism from another game in my own design? @Nick Actually I believe only the actual term "tapping" is restricted in that case. The mechanic appears in many other games, but uses different terms to refer to it (e.g. "exhausting"). |

Was the blind chess match between Sherlock Holmes and James Moriarty in the movie Game of Shadows real/plausible? @thesunneversets Oh, Alan Moore! I don't think there's any real link whatsoever between the two Moriartys (beyond inspiration I suppose), but Alan Moore's LXG does love to link as many fictional universes as possible. |

Was the blind chess match between Sherlock Holmes and James Moriarty in the movie Game of Shadows real/plausible? @thesunneversets You're quite right, Holmes' nemesis is actually JAMES Moriarty (occasionally Jim). |

Miniature painting - what does it mean to seal the model? @Andrey Actually, according to the FAQ, the preparation of wargame miniatures is considered on-topic. |

Any online software available for scheduling of adhoc gaming groups? You may well have some luck; I'm sure this is a problem that other board/card gamers have faced. Failing that, you could try asking over at webapps.stackexchange.com. They might have some good tips for you... |

Any online software available for scheduling of adhoc gaming groups? Good question, and something I might be interested in too. Unfortunately, I can't help but feel this isn't the perfect place to find an answer. i.e. If you were using this software to organise a group of brewing friends, you wouldn't ask in Brewing.SE. I'm not sure where would be a better place to ask though, and someone may well have an answer for you here. Hope you find it! |

Can you use Throne Room to Mine a Copper to a Gold? @pandorym A more simple example of when you might be able to take a Silver but not want to: when doing so would end the game while you're behind. |

Can you use Throne Room to Mine a Copper to a Gold? @pandorym I actually can't think of any off the top of my head. The pile emptying is definitely the most likely scenario but there could be an Embargo-like situation, where you COULD gain one, but don't want to for whatever reason and you wouldn't be allowed to shortcut to the Gold (and Embargo wouldn't apply in this situation anyway since it only affects buys) |

Can you use Throne Room to Mine a Copper to a Gold? Just a caveat: the trashing does require gaining a Silver (or other 3-cost treasure) first. If you can't gain a Silver or similar for any reason (e.g. there are none left), you cannot go from Copper to Gold. |

Help me identify this card game with secret, changing rules @thesunneversets That would certainly lead to the following more quickly! The game typically goes on until everyone gives up. |

Help me identify this card game with secret, changing rules @RobAveryIV I believe the rules tend to differ based on who you play it with. Part of the beauty of teaching it is that you can add rules that have been good in the past. Different groups of players might have different starting rules! I'll add some example starting rules to my answer, though. |
