comment Is there an in-game mechanic reason for placing action cards face down during the planning phase
One addition: Space Alert seems designed to counteract "quarterbacking", one player taking over. The time pressure does a lot for this issue, but as your comment hints the face-down cards are a big part too. Even an experienced player can't tell a novice exactly what to do next because they can't determine at a glance where the novice is at any particular time! Which all comes back to your main point: communication.

comment How can I play against enchantments while playing an all black deck?
In that case, you might want to ask a separate question about how to use Gatherer's search. Teaching a man to fish, and all that.

comment When Governor and Alchemy cards are in same game, how does gaining a card for trashed card work?
(...continued) from rulebook: "If a player uses Remodel to trash a card costing 2p, he could gain a card costing 4p or 4 as those are both 'up to' 4p."

comment When Governor and Alchemy cards are in same game, how does gaining a card for trashed card work?
@scenia My answer is correct. The OP's question quotes both Remodel ("up to") and Governor ("exactly") cards. The Dominion Alchemy Rules at the top of page 4 walk through a Remodel example: (continued...)

comment Unsporting trades in the end-game of settlers of Catan
I personally think that, if I'm not winning a game, the ability to influence who does win helps a lot to keep the end of the game interesting. Though I usually do it while still trying to maximize my position at the end.

Not sure whether to mark this as a duplicate or not, but Is Kingmaking a Fixable Problem is definitely related.

It is interesting when Gold-goal cards make quickly ending a Colony-game on Provinces viable.
