Can Meddling Mage Be Used as a Counter? A famous match once hinged on using a similar trick. It only worked due to an odd gap in the rules for madness, which has since been removed. |

How long will an MTG draft take with varying number of players (approximately)? It looks like you're planning on doing a round-robin cycle, which will result in a lot more rounds than either swiss or single-elimination. Also, the time will be substantially changed if you do best-of-three matches vs individual games. |

In Magic, can an ability target a permanent that is being sacrificed as part of that ability's activation cost? The question is if attrition's ability can target the creature that is being sacrificed to pay for it, correct? |

Scope of “Finger of God” Technically-minded note: Fluxx uses "discard" for both "from hand" and "from table". As a regular MTG Player, I want the discard/sacrifice distinction to be there in other games, but it isn't in Fluxx. |

What is the most effective creature that can be resurrected from the graveyard in MTG? The most effective creature to reanimate will end the game immediately -- Phage the Untouchable. (That's not a good creature to reanimate, just an fast way to end the game.) |

Lasting games in the past century Chess, Go, Backgammon, and Poker all have multiple sources for their pieces, and rules. Most modern games (and the answers below) have unique pieces, and a single owner. I wonder if that is a limiting factor. |

Does Infect count as damage? damage is dealt as damage is a confusing phrase to me. I would rather say that the damage dealt causes life loss, or causes the player to gain poison counters. |

In MTG, what happens when a player loses in multiplayer? Note that bribery is not a change of control effect, so if you Bribery-ed out Bob's Shivan Dragon, it will be Exiled, not placed under Bob's control. |
