(update) - I'm having a board game published! We'd appreciate your support on Facebook or on Twitter, as we prepare for a Kickstarter campaign in early 2014.

I hereby commit to contributing to this site without any rudeness, sarcasm, accusation, or any other unloving speech.

Any update on the BGG submission? It took a couple of days for my game to be approved, and it's a modern/English game!

comment Are there similar games to “Love Letter”?
@Justin808: I understand where you're coming from. As a player, designer, and reviewer of board games, I rarely find occasion to contribute anything to this site. It doesn't upset me, but I guess part of me wishes I had more of a reason to come here :)

comment Where can I find a list of all the cards in Elder Sign?
Why don't you just look at the cards next time you're setting up the game??

If the top of R&D is a piece of ice, then four runs on turn 1 isn't going to do much!

A straightforward reading of the rules suggests this, and it is confirmed in the FAQ I linked above.

Re: the social contract - if you aren't playing, say, The Resistance to win that game of Resistance, then I don't want to play with you. Even if you're on the other team... it's not cool to establish some sort of meta-game at the expense of your teammates' ability to win a particular iteration of the game.

Sorry - it's been so long, and I've only played each side once!

comment Power Grid China/Korea strategy - is it any different from the base game?
I think it's less a question of when to use which market, and more a question of given the split markets and what power plants the players currently own (including me!), which plant should I bid on?

Anything??? The restriction to, for a given player, one market (north or south) in a round is pretty glaring.

comment In Lords of Waterdeep, how is Accelerated Plans played?
I'd say "necessarily" is a more appropriate adverb than "automatically". But who cares =)
