What are some good general strategies for Eclipse? This is a great strategy primer. |

Creating easy to learn but difficult to master games "...*that game*..." could be anything. The questions aren't really a good fit for the Q&A format. |

How can I speed up the setup of Eclipse? I had my friends text me their colors for the first game, and setup their pieces ahead of time. Sure, the races are asymmetrical, but we all learned together so it wasn't a huge deal. |

Discarding a card in Phase 10 that allows the next player to go out The bias against the perceived victim should be totally acceptable for anyone wanting to behead their opponents, in the order of the threat they pose. |

Improved wording for dealing out cards @Tim: Keep up the good work! I never really knew the difference, until your comment prompted me to look it up. |

How can I balance mandatory quests in two-player games of Lords of Waterdeep? 4. should be "you can play a Mandatory Quest (at Waterdeep Harbor) to cancel both one you have in hand and the one you just played". I.e. if each player has a MQ in play, they each discard a MQ. |

When should you not place the robber to do the most damage in Settlers of Catan? I'd say it's more diplomatic than political, but the point is the same I guess. |

Can you use Throne Room to Mine a Copper to a Gold? You can go from Copper to Silver (or Loan, or some other $3 treasure), and then from this newly gained Silver/Loan etc. (or any other treasure in your hand that costs $3+) to go to a Gold. |

Can a runner trash ICE or Operation cards after a run on the HQ? Of course, there are some cards that let the runner trash accessed cards "even if they wouldn't normally be able to" (paraphrased)... |

What should I be trying to do strategically in Through the Ages? (By the way, I'm "The Chaz" on boardgaming-online if anyone wants to add me to a TtA game.) |

What should I be trying to do strategically in Through the Ages? One tip that I give to new players is to "focus on your weakness" (in the areas of happiness, pop/crops, science, military, resources, culture, and government. Might have missed one, but you get the point!) |

Will a developer fix a (small) broken mechanic, or should I fix it before the submission process begins? The specific problem might be "solved", but the larger issue remains! |

How to Measure Luck vs Skill in Games? (To clarify, the discussion in comments is off-topic. If someone has a system to share, I'd love to see it.) |

How to Measure Luck vs Skill in Games? @the: as it probably does for a few users around here (including those who have voted to close). Nevertheless, the discussion is rather off-topic; I would appreciate an answer that outlines a systematic way of describing (and quantifying) the chance and choice of specific game mechanics. |

Will a developer fix a (small) broken mechanic, or should I fix it before the submission process begins? @mattdm, Trust me: the co-designer and I are dedicating our creative energies to fixing this! With all the unknowns (for me, at least) surrounding how much a publisher can/will change, I thought it pertinent to ask if this is even something worth doing. |
