Avid Emacs and Vim hacker (I use Emacs with Evil to get the best of both worlds ;)

I'm experienced with Python, C#, Java, and Javascript, and have dabbled in C++, C, objective-C, Lisp, Ruby, and Scala. While I have a keen interest for all things code, I'm especially interested in the design and creation of programming languages themselves.

to the subjective and argumentative close voter: This question is no more subjective than many on the front page. If we purge all subjective questions in favor of objective ones only, this site will become dull and boring, and miss the whole point of having fun while talking about board games. boardgames.stackexchange.com/questions/4/…

I have fluxx, but I've never played lunch money. How complicated is it and how much strategy and interaction is there?

comment What are some alternatives to using dice in Settlers of Catan?
I don't care about the luck, dice just make the game a lot slower too. You can save 5 minutes spent doing nothing by shaking dice fairly easily if you just use cards.

comment Interesting boardgames to play with children.
@Pawka Some players win more often than others due to randomness. There is definitely some strategy in uno, but not enough to have a gigantic impact.

I usually reserve the 'very complex' rating for stuff like arkham horror, axis and allies, and diplomacy, but Puerto Rico is definitely far from easy. :D

ok, so it is totally cooperative in the sense that you all have the same goal and its impossible to win without the rest of the group. Some players don't play as cooperatively as others at times. :D

comment What is the logic behind the bean cards to be removed from the deck in Bohnanza?
Yes, but you still have to wait long enough to get it and be lucky. With a lot of people they would definitely have a different role.
