Games that are quick to teach to new people, yet still fun and strategical Othello advertises itself as "a minute to learn, a lifetime to master". |

Interesting boardgames to play with children. @Lohoris. There are definitely different playing styles in Uno. The nasty cards have little impact at the beginning of the game, so some people prefer to hoard them till the end, when they can use them to better effect. This is risky, though, as another player may go out, leaving you with a bunch of high-point cards. On the other hand, having no nasty cards means you can't protect yourself when someone plays one on you. It's a question of balance, and different players have different strategies. |

What is the best tournament format for Cripple Mr Onion? Actually, the edit didn't change the question. That is what I was originally asking. I just phrased it very poorly. All praise to Pat for interpreting me. |

What is the best tournament format for Cripple Mr Onion? I've added a comment on the number of players. And a link to the rules, which doesn't work, for some reason, so here it is again: filedump.ýes.info/Cripple%20Mr%20Onion.pdf. |

What is the best tournament format for Cripple Mr Onion? I don't know who gave you the downvote. You probably don't deserve it. You didn't answer my question, but my question was so badly phrased before Pat's rewrite that this is hardly your fault. |

Games that play well with a wide range of different numbers of players As I said, it depends on what you're looking for. I like the phrase "auto-plays", though. |

What is the best tournament format for Cripple Mr Onion? I know the rules: as I said, I've played it a few times. It's running a tournament I know nothing about. |

What is the best tournament format for Cripple Mr Onion? That's it. I didn't have enough rep to create a new tag. It's a real game, and I've played it a few times (with the Fat Pack, an eight-suit card deck). But I've never played the gambling variant, and I've never played with all the modifiers, and I've never run a tournament of any kind. |

Interesting boardgames to play with children. When I see "Game of Life" I assume people are talking about Conway's version: sixfoottallrabbit.co.uk/gameoflife |
