Can people win at Diplomacy using a “Qin strategy?” Being on the team of 4 in a 4vs3 certainly sounds like a good plan.. Not sure it deserves its own name though! |

If I forfeit Breaking News, will the tags stick? Yes, Joshua B triggers a "gain a click, gain a tag at the end of your turn" ability, while Breaking News has 2 separate abilities. This means you can't cheat a click out of Joshua B without getting the tag, unless you use Decoy. |

Can regeneration save my creatures from Turn // Burn? @warbaker it used to be more sensible in 4thEdition where there was a damage prevention/regeneration step after damage was assigned where those things were done before creatures were destroyed. The new rules are cleaner, but weirder. |

Can regeneration save my creatures from Turn // Burn? This way the creature has an extra regeneration shield until the end of the phase(turn?) in case they try to finish it off. |

How do two Notion Thieves interact with each other? Hmm replacement effects can only trigger once off the same trigger, but with 2 Notion Thieves its a different drawing of a card by a different player each time... |

Does activating Sensei's Divining Top make me miss my counterbalance trigger? Ah I read the "you may..." as you may add the ability to the stack, rather than adding it to the stack automatically and then choosing later. |

Does activating Sensei's Divining Top make me miss my counterbalance trigger? I * think* you have to activate counterbalance to add it's effect to the stack, then use sensei's top add it's ability to the stack. Now you get to resolve the top before the counterbalance effect. |

What happens to destroyed districts in Citadels? Since the magician lets you return your hand to draw a hand of the same size, if you want one of the rare purple cards which gains you victory points equal to the number of cards in your hand, you could spend all your turns drawing 1, exchanging until you find it! Not saying its a good tactic, just that drawing an ever increasing number of cards a turn would quickly get through the deck! |

Why did I win “Asia Passport” achievement early? @Sergii It itself is a legendary Asia map achievement, so in order to obtain you, you must first have it! It should say "Win all OTHER achievements for the Legendary Asia map". But that's just being pedantic really. |

Why did I win “Asia Passport” achievement early? As stated you should never be able to win it, as it is a Legendary Asia achievement and so you need to have it in order to earn it! |

What are the chances of shooting the moon in Hearts? @markovchain with perfect information it then becomes a game of brinkmanship, I'm not going to take a heart when I could wait for you to take one. Players would rapidly discard cards which would allow them to prevent a shoot-the-moon in order to force their opponents to take hearts to avert it. |

Am I at legal risk if I use a mechanism from another game in my own design? @Johno patft.uspto.gov/netacgi/… You'd think you couldn't patent stuff like this, but turns out you can patent anything. |

Am I at legal risk if I use a mechanism from another game in my own design? I believe the only board game related patent is "tapping" for Magic the gathering. Not sure how enforcible it is though. |

Monopoly Alternatives You can play the "speed" monopoly from the original rulebook. This is where you deal all the properties randomly to players before you begin the game, essentially saving you the first ~30mins of the game and start with less starting cash. |

Help me identify this card game with secret, changing rules When someone adds a rule about not playing two co-prime cards in a row, you know you need to stop playing. |

What was the largest flop in board game history? Netrunner actually sold pretty well in the millions of copies. I think they over-produced the initial print run though. |

If I cast Flicker on an unearthed creature, does it remain exiled? I thought phasing out triggered "leaves play" effects, while phasing in didn't trigger "enters play". Doesn't that mean that when it phases out it triggers the "leaves play" and so is exiled? Or is "Leaves the battlefield" and "leaves play" not the same term? |

Does a card that affects 'each' creature affect creatures that enter the battlefield after it resolves? Interesting that "All white creatures get +1/+1" and "All white creatures get +1/+1 until end of turn" behave differently with respect to newly created creatures! |

How do Data Raven and Chum interact? Looks like putting a Chum in front of any ICE which gets Femme Fatale'd would be a good move then :) |

How do Data Raven and Chum interact? How about if you use Femme Fatale to bypass the DataRaven? You still encountered it to trigger the Femme Fatale's bypass ability(which happens at the same time as the tag or quit, but you can bypass first as its your turn and avoid the tag), but didn't break any subroutines. Does this mean that the Chum will trigger when the second ice is bypassed with Femme? |
