comment Where I can buy good resources to build games?
What makes this a good site to visit? Without at least a basic description, it's hard to separate this from the other answers.

You can edit or delete your answers at any time; it's usually better to edit your answer than to create a new one.

I've tweaked the title a bit to be more readable; feel free to edit it again if I've missed the point of your question. (The name of the game is in the question's tags, and a full sentence usually gets a better response than a sentence fragment.) (And feel free to flag this comment as obsolete whenever you like.) And welcome to Arquade! Wander by the tour when you have a moment.

revised Is there a real disadvantage for the player kicking off step two in power grid?
OP mentioned that step 2 is what they meant. Also, I thought of some other reasons.

Step 3, not Phase 3. Each turn has phases, but the OP is talking about Step 3 where the third spot in each city becomes available.

comment roulette (changed rules) skill or luck?
No rational player would choose black, ever. If your opponent chooses red, the correct answer is "I'm not going to play this game." The only way this becomes a "mental" game is if Player A threatens to beat Player B with a tire iron unless Player B plays black. Then it's just extortion by a different name. Or it can be a "mental" game if Player A fast-talks Player B into playing black. But without coercion, deceit, or idiocy, nobody's going to play black.

Could you be more direct in your comparisons? Your "depth of strategy" and "what situations you would recommend each game" don't have any compare-and-contrast in them; it feels like you're describing random parts of each game without actually comparing their relative strengths & weaknesses. Also, you don't actually state "what situations you would recommend playing each of them in."
