comment Is there much strategy and planning in 7-Wonders or is mostly luck?
Would you please summarize some of the important bits here? If that link ever goes dead (and they frequently do), your answer will have no content. ...also, this is exactly the same link as in another answer, that was posted last year. Your answer isn't adding anything new.

comment When are Keeper actions available?
@GendoIkari, yes, you would get another action if your last play changed the rules so that you get more actions. If Play 1 is in effect, and you add Play All, then you get all of those additional actions.

comment Good ways to speed up a game of Ticket to Ride
One note about the draw-two-cards-and-claim-a-route rule: it will favor shorter routes. Someone going for three 6-train routes will only get that "bonus" turn (claiming a route) one turn in three, but someone going for nine 2-train routes can potentially get that "bonus" turn every time. Running a route up the eastern seaboard or the north-south midwest route will take about half as many turns as normally. This might help balance out the other suggestions that favor longer routes.

comment Is it possible to destroy Dragon Mantle without the owner successfully activating it?
Destructive Revelry would destroy the Dragon Mantle enchantment, not the creature. (If the opponent had a kill-creature spell, they could cast it any time and the creature would die.) There's no point in pumping one point at a time; the only time the creature is in danger of being destroyed is when it's blocking the opponent's large creature.

How did you help them improve? I don't see anything in your answer that suggests how to teach strategic gaming to non-gamer players.
