@EinDoofus I was a bit sloppy with terminology there; I'll update the answer to say "carried" and not refer to "in play." Either way, trading/gifting/bribing involves carried cards; whether the item is currently equipped or not is irrelevant.

@EinDoofus You may show your hand to your opponents: this is part of effective extortion. "Don't help Bob or I will use this monster-enhancer here, along with this specific potion and that curse" is a much more effective threat than "I have cards you don't want me to play, but you can't see them." Showing your hand is about backing up your words, not about trading cards from your hand.

comment Does discarding a Race or Class card at “any time” apply to both your hand and cards in play?
@MikeR, if you don't have close-vote privileges yet, you can still flag the question to request a close vote.

comment How to expand Love Letter to accomodate more players?
7 Wonders should only require you to look at the player to your left, and the player to your right. And all turns are simultaneous. Someone two spots away is utterly irrelevant to a novice game. (If you're playing card-denial against some opponents, then you might pay attention to them, but for the most part you should only care about your neighbors.)

comment Building Limit in Lords or Waterdeep
@Bret, the question is about why there's a building limit. An answer of "there's actually no limit" is correctly challenging the frame of the question.

What makes this a good site to visit? Without at least a basic description, it's hard to separate this from the other answers.

You can edit or delete your answers at any time; it's usually better to edit your answer than to create a new one.

I've tweaked the title a bit to be more readable; feel free to edit it again if I've missed the point of your question. (The name of the game is in the question's tags, and a full sentence usually gets a better response than a sentence fragment.) (And feel free to flag this comment as obsolete whenever you like.) And welcome to Arquade! Wander by the tour when you have a moment.

revised Is there a real disadvantage for the player kicking off step two in power grid?
OP mentioned that step 2 is what they meant. Also, I thought of some other reasons.
