Gets fresh internet connection, in first 5 minutes, he reads bg.se, sees post about councilroom being down. I should stop slacking ;)

comment Do you have to reveal your hand when using Treasure Map and not trashing a TM from your hand?
Does the may really matter? What is the probability that you play a tmap, with another tmap in hand, and you don't actually want the golds?

There is a mix and match ability in later expansions. But it could also be easy to just take 2 of 7 cards into hand instead of 1 of 7, for example.

Yeah, I was thinking about this, and also having common discard pile go into the box, somewhat far away from the players, so you don't accidentally throw cards into the box before others players have verified them.

comment What Dominion kingdom-card setups tend to lead to the shortest games?
Pat does a good job continuing to make sure there is nothing interesting to read (or write) bcg.se. FWIW, forum.dominionstrategy.com will give you good, high quality discussion of this if you want it.

comment Citadels: Does the crown switch hands if the king is killed?
I am not sure it would be so bad >2p. Be King, take Assassin, kill King will get dominated by someone with free reign over Merchant.

comment Does mixing Dominion expansions lessen the power of card combinations in random kingdom setups?
@TheChaz: There are two things to consider. 1. The raw number of combos across all kingdom sets. Of course this goes up as you add more cards and cards from different sets. 2. The probability that a given card will be in a viable. This tends to go down as you add cards from different sets, or equivalently, up as you add more cards from its own set.

comment Can you buy with a copper after buying Grand Market?
Another sort of exception is with Mint. If you get $11 with two buys, you can buy a Mint, trash the coppers in play, and then buy a Grand Market.
