When is it optimal to purchase a Mint on a 5/2 split? I can verify this with firsthand experience. I once tried to mint immediately on the first turn. Losing all that copper made the next few rounds useless as I had to regain the coppers. |

What are the differences between the various versions of Stratego? I can't give a complete answer, but as far as I'm aware there are no rule changes in any version. There is one difference between the set I owned as a kid and a more recent set I purchased is that the numbers were all reversed. In one set the general is #1 and in another set is he #10. In one set the miners were #3 and the other set they were #8. |

Children's version of Rummy? If you didn't specifically want a card game I would suggest Rummikub. It's been a favorite in my family at all ages. rummikub.com |

How do we speed things up in Bohnanza? This isn't a real answer, so I won't submit it as one, but play with different people. I've noticed that game length often depends on who is playing just as much as the game itself. With the right people a game like Bohnanza can take 30 minutes. With the wrong people it can take many hours. We have a saying in my group. "Take your turn, or we will hit you." We play fast, if you haven't guessed. |

When should I build the Crane card? In my experience the only card that matters in San Juan is the Silver Mines. If you build those, you win. From that perspective, the Crane doesn't matter. Haven't played in awhile, though. |

Recommendation for D&D players who want a faster dungeon/questing game after dinner? Thanks, I was unaware. I only have played the old version in the little orange book. |

How has the composition of Catan's development card deck changed over time? You are correct. One interesting thing to note is that the development cards in the very old versions were on much thicker cardstock. That is why many people refer to them as "stiffy" cards. |

Good produce/consume strategy in RftG It's true. You can't have a strategy in RftG. It's all about playing the hand that you are dealt. |

Which circumstances make one favour track better than another in Caylus? I tend to go for the building track myself if nobody else does it first. If someone does do the building track first, I take the VP track, but I also make sure to build the architect to reduce the advantage of the player who went for the building track. |
