House rules to improve Pokemon Master Trainer If you allow rolls to ace, make the 6 roll still add only 5 - just so that you don't skip all the multiples of six. |

Are there multiplayer equivalents to trading places after the first move? In which games have you ever seen this? |

What are some good introductory rules to bridge? The book was from at least 1997, I believe. (It was from a book called the Giant Book of Card Games, and was called "Bridge Whist" in the book.) I'm not sure if it took its resources from somewhere else, though. |

What are some good introductory rules to bridge? So kinda like the Golden Snitch in Quidditch, then? |

What are some good introductory rules to bridge? One of the things that confused me was the win condition. If winning the rubber wins you the game (like I saw in that book), what purpose do the bonus points serve? Or is it not actually the rubber that wins you the game, but the points? |

Playing Settlers of Catan with a D12 instead of 2D6 I actually meant it lightly (with an implied XD), but I suppose you could explain yourself as well. |

Playing Settlers of Catan with a D12 instead of 2D6 Hooray for violating the integrity of board games! |

What are effective strategies for passing cards in Hearts? I try not to pass the 2 of Clubs if I have it, even if I void everything else in the clubs suit. |

What are effective strategies for passing cards in Hearts? I had a friend who would always troll in Hearts and always attempt to shoot the moon, so he would always pass low cards to other players. He actually succeeded about 1/4 of the time. |

Playing Settlers of Catan with a D12 instead of 2D6 "Instead on a 7, you simply grab any one card from the bank." Do you still play with the "discard half your resources if you have more than seven", though? I know some house rule variants that don't play with this. |

Playing Settlers of Catan with a D12 instead of 2D6 Exactly why I proposed it. However, the other numbers would still be even. |

Playing Settlers of Catan with a D12 instead of 2D6 One way to alleviate the dead number is to have the robber pop up when either 1 or 7 is rolled. |

What are the standard time settings in chess There is also "correspondence chess", which has time limits on the order of days or even weeks. |

What are the standard time settings in chess In my experience, anything under three minutes is called "lightning" or "bullet" chess rather than blitz, and blitz can be anything from 3 to 10 minutes. |

What is the average lifetime of a pack of casino cards? Isn't "63 mm by 88 mm" the same both ways? |

What is the average lifetime of a pack of casino cards? "First I should note that as I started Googling around for an answer to this, it is abundantly clear that there is not a definitive answer on this." I didn't google as extensively as you did, but I noticed this too. |
