Dominion Seaside Treasure Map: do both copies activate? But, with three treasure maps and a throne room, you could throne the first and thrash the other two, gaining 8 golds? |

Should I trash Copper or Silver with Mine? @PatLudwig, true! But I meant, in the current hand. Your next hand will contain the copper you didn't upgrade ;] |

What are mistakes beginners should avoid in Dominion? The village idiot should try to become a festival idiot instead. Festival does offer nice benefits (but no +1 card). |

Should I trash Copper or Silver with Mine? However, if you draw your mine again and you have only gold, you can't upgrade. Draw the mine again and have a silver, you can use it. This is why I generally choose to upgrade the lowest value. |

What are some good ways to transition to more complex strategic thinking games? Strategy-only games can include certain games where a (small) factor of luck is present: in the long run, luck will equal out amongst players and the strategist will win. Why do poker championships almost always see the same top players, even though it is a cards game? |

Pre-drawing cards or tiles @Lo'oris: offcourse you are right when totally random. But when out-of-order drawing, 2 factors come in to play here: 1/ People are superstitious and believe that "their drawing choice" has an influence "whoah, look at that stack always giving me cloisters" and 2/ Unless the shuffle was perfect, tiles might not be entirely random (influenced by previous games). But it's mostly about the perceived drawing choice for the other players. |

Beginner Power Grid strategy +1 Sometimes skipping buying extra resources if it means you can't connect the city is vital |

Beginner Power Grid strategy Everything that can be tracked using paper, should be visible or askable anytimes. Otherwise it would have been blind pulled. |

Interesting non-zero-sum games Carcassonne is non-zero-sum when multiple players share the same structure: the points are not divided between the players, yet each player receives the same amount of points. Unless off course it's not shared, but conquered. |
