By day (and night, far too often) I'm the Operations Manager at Digital Motorworks.

Most of the rest of the time I'm with my family or gaming, or thinking about gaming.

Currently playing a 14th level Shifter Paladin in a 4th edition DnD campaign. I'm also just starting to run a campaign of my own.

Willing to play boardgames whenever I can find people willing to lose to me :)

comment Where I can buy good resources to build games?
bargain hunting, I like it! I've picked up a lot of complete boardgames over the years for $1 at garage sales. Probably 75% of what I've bought ends up being complete.

comment What is the best tournament format for Cripple Mr Onion?
@TriG excellent, glad to hear it. Could you give us an idea of how many people you'd be expecting at the tournament (roughly). Also, how many people will be playing Cripple Mr Onion at one table? I didn't get a sense of a "correct" number from the wikipedia article.

I think Civ with 4 on the Western expansion is a decent game. Plays fast too (for Civ :))

This is a great answer. I don't feel the last 2 paragraphs are needed though.

comment What games are suitable for a large number of people with only a pack of playing cards?
This was the card game to play at lunch back in High School. We called it "Prediction". Our scoring was a bit different, but we regularly had multiple games of 3-10 players going.

comment What are good standard strategies for Carcassonne ?
@tunaranch - I play all games to win. A few games/sports define sportsmanlike behavior, which I will then follow. But if they don't, I feel free to do what it takes

comment Would Steam/Age of Steam benefit from a non-constrained set of tiles
Very interesting, I've never had a problem running out of tracks in either game. Haven't played a ton, maybe a dozen games total. Another dozen of Railroad Tycoon.
