Do creatures with Defender ability die? I'd be amazed if your brother wasn't playing with Fog Banks. Which have a special reason for not dying when blocking a big creature, unrelated to their having Defender. |

Mini game within a game A very controversial card, given that its main function seems to be for building decks that can spin out the length of a game of Magic long enough to guarantee a draw under tournament conditions... |

What Crazy Bridge Bidding Systems Actually Work In Practice? @woodchips I completely agree with you! It would have been interesting to have been asked what the system was, but we genuinely weren't in an environment where anyone cared very much. We should probably have tried to alert it anyway, I accept that... |

Can you collect a resource of your choice if you have no production due to the robber? That's all true, but I think it's still worth answering what (seemed to be) the main thrust of the question: does having production stolen by the robber count as "receiving production". We agree that it doesn't! |

Can you collect a resource of your choice if you have no production due to the robber? @Tim: Well, I think it's implied that "the owner of adjacent settlements and cities do not receive resources [for the hex containing the robber, that was just mentioned]". I see the ambiguity in the wording though, good call! |

When should I activate Man Lands and Keyrunes in order to attack with them? I feel like saying "Can I declare attackers?" might imply you want to skip the beginning of combat step, but that's a totally different thing from it being impossible for the active player ever to gain priority in the beginning of combat step... |

When should I activate Man Lands and Keyrunes in order to attack with them? I'm sceptical of the claim that "you never have priority in your beginning of combat step" - it may be true, but can you back it up further? With reference to the comprehensive rules on shortcuts etc, I guess I mean. |

What happens if Ravager of the Fells can't target an opponent? Dammit, my answer as worded totally implied that a flashed-in Witchbane Orb would make the targeted creature illegal. That's not what I meant but very sloppy of me not to consider it. Have edited for what little it's worth at this stage :) |

What happens if Ravager of the Fells can't target an opponent? Oh yes, I agree totally that flashing in Witchbane Orb would not make the creature an illegal target. But I'm right that you can't target it in the first place without a targetable opponent at the time, yes? Thanks for the useful clarification. |

How does the RATUKI card work? Ooh yeah, Skip-Bo definitely looks to be the same family of game, good spot. So if a Ratuki card is on the top card of the pile, can you play any card at all on top of it? Can you only claim the pile if the Ratuki card was "played as a 5"? |

What happens to destroyed districts in Citadels? Does the District deck ever get exhausted in a normal game of Citadels? I can't really remember it doing so, which makes me think the question may be rather academic... |

What does the Yoke card mean when it says “Plow”? Yeah, what REALLY makes the Yoke suck is that you can't even play it in the early game when you might need to grab first player. (Lots of Minor Improvements that cost 1 Wood are rather playable in the early game, but the Yoke's requirement of a cattle totally kills that...) |

What is the maximum score in Ticket to Ride USA, and how to aim towards it? Success! After only a day of sporadic trying, I managed to score 265, connecting Vancouver, Montreal, LA and Miami and picking up about 15 routes. It would have been 272 if I hadn't pushed my luck by picking up more routes on my final turn :( |

What is the maximum score in Ticket to Ride USA, and how to aim towards it? Having played a few games using this for inspiration, it certainly gives you a fighting chance of breaking 200 (against a weak AI anyway), but I'm all the more impressed by my wife's score of 246 now. So much has to go right to even stand a chance of hitting a score like that... |

What does the Yoke card mean when it says “Plow”? I play, or used to play, a fair bit of Agricola draft and I think it's fair to say that the Yoke is almost always a last-pick card. Even given that Plows are usually very good, and people will generally play them if they can get them, the Yoke... isn't. Maybe in a 4 or 5 player game where everyone has ended up with a Plow? |
