In Smallworld, do Fortresses pay the +1 VC only on the turn they are placed, or do they each pay for every turn that the race is active? Oh but there are ways you can be Stout and Fortified at the same time if you are playing with more than just the base set. I believe the Tales & Legends and Realms expansions have options for multiple powers. Still, your explanation of the rules would stand. You are either in decline or you are not, regardless of what you can do while in decline. Fortresses give points every turn you are active (not in decline). |

Small World: Strategies for using dwarves in a 2-player game @Hackworth: You stated that turn order bidding wouldn't work because everyone starts with only one victory point, but you actually start with five. This could work. I like the idea. |

Does Small World's Dragon Master allow conquering non-adjacent regions? A humorous reminder of this rule is actually the artwork on the dragon token itself. If you look closely, you'll see that it is a walking dragon, not a flying one, and that it is being coaxed forward with human bait dangling from a long stick. |

How Unethical Is A Purely “Blocking” Move In Ticket To Ride? If you have agreed not to play a certain way before starting, or are playing in a location where a house rule is standard, then it would be unethical to go back on your word or break a rule (in effect, cheating). Otherwise, actions permissible within the scope of the rules and motivated only by in-game factors, regardless whether a group likes them or not, are still ethical. They may not make you popular, but there is a difference between something that is looked down upon and something that actually violates ethics. |
