Good stories for werewolf/mafia? Would you consider rewording this question to encourage a comprehensive answer? As it stands, anyone providing any example would be a valid answer, which isn't going to be as useful as you might like. Think about your motivation for the question. What are you trying to achieve? For example, depending on what you want to know, these are possible rephrasings: What's a good source for new stories for Mafia?, How can I add variety to the narrative in Mafia?, How do different narratives change the feel of a game of Mafia? |

Mini game within a game This is a poll question, where every answer is equally valid. As Jefromi says, it encourages many answers, each listing one example of the mechanic. Think about what you really want to know, and try and reword the question so that a single answer could give you that. In other words, focus on the motivation for asking for the list. Are stations used in Ticket to Ride: The Heart of Africa? Yes, that was my thinking... until we actually tried playing it. Without stations, it's really a very claustrophobic board, even with only four players. I can't imagine how it could work with five. |

Can I sacrifice a permanent to pay an ability cost while the permanent's spell is still on the stack? I think this question is coming from a wrong premise. Your opponent can only target your creature if it's made it into play. And if it's made it, and they Bolt it, then you can respond by sacrificing it... |

Are counters (noun) physical things? At a desperate pinch, when absolutely nothing else has been available, I have even used other cards (face down and offset stacked) as counters. Unwieldy, inelegant and annoying, but better than nothing. |

There are really three different questions here. I'd suggest you split them accordingly: 1) What should I do to 'gamesmaster' a game of Arkham?, 2) What's the best way to teach a new player to play Arkham?, 3) Are there any house rules to play as the Herald? |
