comment Does a game exist where some win, some lose, and some don't?
Ok. This is getting too involved for comments. I suggest you post an answer summarising your position to the meta question at meta.boardgames.stackexchange.com/questions/1435/… for discussion. Thanks!

Oh dear. If you really need examples for an answer to have value, then by our site's definition, this is a recommendation question. See meta.boardgames.stackexchange.com/questions/656/…. The reasons this is a problem are summarised well in that link. I think it is perfectly possible to ask a related question that doesn't require existence proofs, but that is your call.

comment Does a game exist where some win, some lose, and some don't?
Yes, that's what I thought. That's why you should reword your question a little. Right now, the sentence "Are there any games..." is ambiguous, and can be taken to mean you want examples of such games. That's the textbook definition of a recommendation.

I think you're really asking a philosophical question about a class of games, not asking for example instances. If that's the case, I strongly recommend you reword this question to avoid closure as being about "game recommendations". See meta.boardgames.stackexchange.com/a/1437/50

comment How can I make Agricola vegetarian friendly?
A friend of mine is vegetarian, and we joked that the white cubes were tofu. I mean, they look more like tofu than sheep...

comment Did Wizards ever write a followup for the 2003 card face redesign?
Wow, this question is a blast from the past. I gave up collecting and playing Magic as a result of this change. Scourge was the last expansion for me. :| Wrote Mark Rosewater a long email rant at the time as well. :)

comment Can I make wine from the fields I harvest with the Laborer?
Sounds reasonable. A powerful card if true. Is there any official FAQ that makes this explicit?

comment In Eldritch Horror, how do you deal with cases when an event forces you to draw a condition card that you already have?
Glad to help. :) Yes, the reference guide is very useful. It's amazingly complete. I suppose you could see it as a benefit in the sense that you got something for nothing this time round. But you still have the original debt to worry about! I just noticed you also mentioned card flipping. It's helpful to know that in general the only thing that flips the card is the condition described on the card itself.

Also they are worth points; sometimes there's nothing better to do, especially if you have a clay surplus.

comment Designing - How do you approach finding the right font for your game?
Hi Joseph DR, welcome to the site. It looks like a good article, but link-only answers are discouraged (and attract negative votes), because the link might disappear in the future. Would you summarise the main points of the article here?

comment Designing - How do you approach finding the right font for your game?
@freekvd - I think you may be missing my point. See Joe's answer below, which is at the level of a font user (specifically a game designer), not a graphics designer.
