I'm a 25 year old EGF 1 dan, playing Go since late 2006. I was active in the community at Sensei's and former shidogo.com, now switched my attention to BCG.SE
Known as recorder, I published the first large collection of Go videos in the West a few years ago. I've created a platform for bad Go jokes.

What are good placement strategies for Stratego? @AndrewVandever: On a sidenote, some may consider this close to cheating. So make sure the people you play with do not mind being "tricked" like this. |

How to play teaching game and give a useful review A quick note about point 2: A major reason for not finishing the games is that it would take too long. Typically I stop around move 50-100 after 1-2 hours. But just like you said, it is better to speed up for DDK players because they make and subsequently understand their mistakes more quickly. |

Magic Sword: Peaceful Variation or is Punishment Possible? @shujaa: If you're going to play black 5 anyway to protect the cut, why would you exchange 3 for 4 first? Certainly better to play 1-2-5 and let white fix at 3 in gote so black gets to play on the right side. |

How does one set up a 1/4 board for GO? 1/4 likely refers to 9x9, I have never seen 11x11 in this context. |

Is Go played for money? @Nick Yes, but wouldn't you always try 'sandbag' the other player (claiming you're weaker than you really are)? |

Is Go played for money? This is very true, I never understood how handicap and betting can be used together in the same game. |
