comment What is the fastest MTG Mill deck that can be made?
That is so beautifully wrong and evil.

comment When you King's Court a King's Court, when must you pick the three target cards?
While I believe you are right, just because one game uses a stack doesn't mean that another game does.

comment What are good general strategies for Pandemic?
True, it all depends on how much effort it'll take to eradicate. (I've had a few games where it was pretty much "on the way" to get an early sunset; some games the color didn't come up much, some games became a cakewalk).

re: eradicating - While I'll agree that eradicating is often not worth the effort, if you're lucky enough to be have the chance to cure and eradicate a color early game, it can be a massive help (and worth the detour).

comment How do you prevent deliberately losing in Republic of Rome?
That makes sense to me from a game balance perspective - it forces the lead players to hold back, lest a player falls out of contention and tries to force a draw. (Put the other way, no matter how far behind you are, you always have the option of playing for the draw by forcing Rome to fall.)

comment How much would the cards from Dominion: Alchemy cost if you wanted to use them while not playing with potions?
I could see Curses working well there (in a game that doesn't use them normally) - no risk of someone forgetting then!

comment Which alternative methods of choosing a starting player actually WORK?
For new games we have a variation of that - the start player is the one that lets the most experienced players go first (so that the new players get to see a few people play their turns).

Thief is definitely the natural enemy of Big Money.

comment How can I effectively use the Coppersmith?
@thesunneversets - Ah, I see the point now. So really, the question is: do you expect to get a 3 copper + smith hand often enough to make it worth while. In either event, I think we can agree that Coppersmith is a niche play at best. (I can see layouts where I could make it work, but it's certainly not an automatic buy.)

comment How can I effectively use the Coppersmith?
@thesunneversets In this scenario (first few turns), the action isn't going to be an issue, since we'll have purchased either the Silver OR the Coppersmith. (I suppose that if you have a 3/4 draw, you could spend 3 for an action and 4 for the Coppersmith, but that seems counterproductive: I'd assume people could go Silver and Coppersmith if you're going for that strategy.)

On the "trading places", you're saying you can swap two of your own pieces, not throwing an opponent's piece into your safe zone, correct?

@thesunneversets You wouldn't have an action in your scenario, since you've purchased the Silver instead of an Action card.
