updated data for acquiring sets of four
Sep 5, 2015 at 14:13 comment added RemcoGerlich It would also be possible to get full sets for MTGO, and then redeem them. Because of many business doing that already, I'd expect that to be a little bit cheaper but not much.

Sep 4, 2015 at 15:51 comment added corsiKa Some sets are worth more as singles than they are as boxes. Generally, when the average value of cards is worth more than $2.70 per pack (which BFZ is, as was Theros and RTR) stores are better off cracking the backs and selling the singles.

Sep 4, 2015 at 13:47 comment added Kevin @Rainbolt I don't mind other people adding more information. I would have done it myself, but I don't have access to singles prices right now.
Sep 4, 2015 at 13:39 comment added Rainbolt This is great work! If someone takes the time to research the cost of buying singles from Khan's of Tarkir, would you be alright with that person adding to your answer? Or is the point that $88k is so outrageous that it doesn't even need to be looked up?
Sep 4, 2015 at 13:14 comment added Kevin On the plus side, you can sell any extras you come across, which defrays the cost somewhat. If we price every rare at $1, then it's really more like $67,000.
