However, I am not 100% sure on the case if it were banished face-down, as those cards are irretrievable per se (as you can't know if it's monster or what). In that extreme case, if you even managed to bring it back to hand, then it would be reset so... but "regular" banish does not reset. Glad I could help Batman | |

It makes sense the card would be "reset" when returned to the hand or extra deck. So, a successfully summoned monster needs to go from the field to the graveyard for it to be able to be "revived" (when there's no restriction to the special summon of course).
