It's referring to other similarly-named cards. Squadron Hawk is more like Arachnus Spinner than Havengul Lich. @Steven Stadnicki comment does not affect the answer; he surely mentioned it to make you aware of the difference. I'll incorporate his comment into my answer.
Sep 14, 2012 at 18:35 | comment | added | corsiKa | @Steven So how would that apply for something like Squadron Hawk? If I somehow gave Arbor Elf all the abilities of Squadron Hawk, as it enters the battlefield, would I tutor for Hawks or Elves?
Sep 14, 2012 at 18:29 | comment | added | Steven Stadnicki | Just note that there's a fine distinction between a card using its own name and saying 'a card named X' in its rules text. For instance, a Sakashima The Imposter that comes into play copying Embermage Goblin would have the abilities 'When Sakashima The Imposter enters the battlefield, you may search your library for a card named Embermage Goblin, reveal it and put it into your hand.' and 'T: Sakashima The Imposter deals 1 damage to target creature or player' - it changes the appearances of the name, but not the 'a card named X'.

Sep 14, 2012 at 17:23 | comment | added | corsiKa | Interesting. Can you point to a comp rule to back this up (specifically, the replacement of skeleton with lich in the rules text)? I searched but couldn't find one.
